Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section within the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a professional environment, contributing to the overall dining experience. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and organisation
Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items, maintaining consistency and creativity
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
Monitor stock levels within your section, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation, including equipment and utensils
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as required

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of culinary techniques across various cuisines
Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude
Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Effective communication skills to coordinate with front-of-house staff and colleagues
