Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Night Loader to join our warehouse team. This role involves the efficient loading and unloading of goods during night shifts, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong materials handling skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with warehouse management systems. The Night Loader plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting the overall supply chain.

Responsibilities

Load and unload lorries using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, adhering to safety protocols
Assist in organising stock within the warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly and safely
Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and materials to identify any damages or discrepancies
Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, complying with health and safety standards
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets efficiently

Experience

Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics is preferred
Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse handling equipment is highly desirable
Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction-related roles can be beneficial for understanding equipment functions
Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking during shifts is essential
Experience in shipping & receiving processes will be considered an asset
