Set in the heart of Huntly, we're proud to showcase the very best of locally sourced Scottish produce while creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, whether they're joining us for brunch, lunch, dinner or a special celebration.

We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help shape the next chapter of The Bank.

This is an opportunity for someone who loves creating exceptional food, enjoys developing a talented team and wants the freedom to bring fresh ideas to an already well-established restaurant.

The Role

As Head Chef, you'll be at the heart of our operation, leading a passionate kitchen team while maintaining the high standards our customers have come to expect.

You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring every dish leaving the pass reflects the quality, creativity and consistency that defines The Bank.

Working closely with the management team, you'll also play a key role in developing exciting seasonal menus for both our restaurant and our increasingly popular Clubroom, catering for private dining, whisky events and special occasions.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading, motivating and developing an enthusiastic kitchen team.
Creating fresh, seasonal menus that showcase quality local ingredients.
Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
Overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient service during busy periods.
Managing stock, ordering and kitchen costs effectively.
Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety legislation.
Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Bringing creativity and innovation to new menus, specials and events.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about food and takes pride in creating memorable dining experiences.

You'll be a natural leader who enjoys mentoring others, thrives under pressure and is always looking for ways to improve and innovate.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience as a Head Chef or an accomplished Senior Sous Chef ready for the next step.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
A passion for high-quality, freshly prepared food.
Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen management.
The ability to remain calm and focused during busy services.
A positive, hands-on attitude and a genuine team-first approach.
A creative mindset with the confidence to introduce new ideas and seasonal dishes.
