Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Locksmith to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of locking mechanisms and security systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of security hardware. The position is paid and suitable for those who take pride in delivering high-quality service to clients. A valid driver's licence is preferred to facilitate on-site visits and installations.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain locks, safes, and other security devices across residential, commercial, and industrial premises
Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate solutions
Cut keys and programme electronic access systems as required
Respond promptly to emergency lockout situations, ensuring minimal disruption for clients
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations
Provide professional advice to clients regarding security upgrades and best practices

Experience

Previous experience working as a Locksmith or in a related security role is highly desirable
Knowledge of mechanical locks, electronic access control systems, safes, and master key systems is essential
Familiarity with key cutting machines and programming tools is advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex locking issues
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Valid driving licence preferred to facilitate on-site service calls
