Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fencer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fencing installation and possess a strong understanding of various construction techniques. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the creation of durable and quality fencing solutions in residential and commercial setting. Applicants should be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark fencing layouts according to project specifications
- Install fencing using appropriate tools and materials, ensuring stability and durability
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, and post drivers safely and effectively
- Prepare site by clearing debris, setting posts, and ensuring level foundations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fencing installation or related construction trades is advantageous
- CSCS card
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in fencing and general construction
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks including lifting, digging, and working at heights if necessary
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential; willingness to travel to different sites is required
- Commitment to health and safety standards on site
