Full job description

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team in our canteen at the AWE Orion Building, Aldermaston, Reading RG7 4PG:

Your duties will consist of, but not be limited to:

Warranting that a clean and tidy environment is presented and always maintained.
Ensuring high levels of hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained to guarantee first class service.
Organising and storing ingredients and materials quickly and efficiently.
Preparing, and storing food hygienically and safety.
Assisting each other in general kitchen duties.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 10am - 18pm and every other Saturday 6.30am-12.30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

This role is for an immediate start.

PLEASE NOTE: A BRITISH PASSPORT/DUAL NATIONALITY IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE (GOVERNMENT PROJECT)

DUE TO LOCATION OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL - the site is not accessible by public transport or on foot.

DUE TO OUR CLIENTS REQUIREMENTS YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING.

Please note: we require all staff to have the following qualifications before we can get them in the kitchen:

⁠ ⁠Allergen Awareness and Food Intolerances

⁠ ⁠⁠COSHH Awareness for Hospitality

⁠ ⁠⁠Food Hygiene and Safety Level 2 for Catering

If you don’t already have these, please do not worry; we can set you up on our online learning platform (Tayl). Each course only takes around 30 minutes to complete, and once done, they are yours to keep!

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Aldermaston RG7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
