Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Managerto oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive bar, restaurant and functions experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service across all departments. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our business.

Duties

Lead and supervise all operational activities within the restaurant or hotel environment, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning with a hands on approach as required
Oversee food, bar and events processes to uphold quality standards.
Manage and motivate team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and health & safety standards across all departments.
Coordinate staff to maintain efficient food and bar service operations, including supervising activities.
Oversee customer service delivery, ensuring guests receive a memorable experience.
Monitor inventory levels, manage procurement processes, and control costs effectively.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and profitability, drive forward wedding, function and events bookings
Handle guest complaints or issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Maintain a professional appearance of the establishment in line with brand standards.

Skills

Proven management experience within the hospitality industry.
Strong team management and leadership abilities with excellent organisational skills.
Extensive bar and restaurant experience
Experience in hospitality management, including hotel or barista roles is essential
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to oversee multiple departments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to lead by example and foster a positive work environment. Pay: £38,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
