Job Overview

Wilson Associates Ltd are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our clients engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets their standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, safety, and efficiency are paramount. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical aptitude, hands-on skills, and a strong work ethic to contribute to our production goals.

Responsibilities

Prepare metal parts and components for coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding as needed
Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently to apply even coats on designated items
Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring proper coverage and adherence to specifications
Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to uphold safety standards and production flow
Assist with basic fabrication, assembly, or touch-up tasks as required during the coating process
Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment or parts
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

Skills

Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools and power tools
Familiarity with fabrication processes and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Warehouse experience or background in construction painting is a plus
Ability to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently
Knowledge of welding techniques is beneficial but not mandatory
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting throughout shifts

Please not this is a night shift position, applicants must be flexible for shifts to suit the clients needs.

Pay: £16.95 per hour
