Join Our Team

George Street Coffee House is more than just a coffee house – we're a welcoming community space where great coffee, delicious food and meaningful conversations come together. As part of the Road to Recovery Trust, we are passionate about creating an inclusive environment that supports people and helps strengthen our local community.

We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our growing team.

What You'll Be Doing

Preparing and serving hot and cold food to a high standard.
Making barista-style coffees and other hot and cold drinks (training will be provided).
Delivering excellent customer service with a warm and welcoming approach.
Keeping the kitchen, coffee house and customer areas clean, organised and well presented.
Washing up and maintaining high standards of food hygiene.
Restocking food, drinks and supplies throughout the day.
Operating the till and handling customer payments.
Working as part of a supportive team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the coffee house.

What We're Looking For

A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.
Previous experience in a café, coffee shop or catering environment is desirable but not essential.
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Reliable, punctual and flexible.
Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety (Level 2 Food Hygiene is desirable but not essential).
Barista experience is an advantage, although full training will be provided.
