Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand new pharmacy. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment committed to patient safety and high-quality service. The position is for a distance selling pharmacy and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to community health and expand their pharmacy expertise.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Prepare and package prescriptions in accordance with legal and organisational guidelines
Maintain detailed records of dispensed medications and patient information
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries courteously and professionally
Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising pharmacy supplies
Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
Support patient care activities by providing medication information and guidance as appropriate

Skills

Must be a qualified Pharmacy Dispenser with experience
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors in dispensing medication
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and confidentiality
Basic computer literacy for managing electronic records and pharmacy systems
