Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in dental nursing while supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. The role involves assisting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment. Responsibilities

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and setting up necessary equipment
Support patients by providing reassurance, explaining procedures, and ensuring their needs are met
Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment information using IT systems
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas in accordance with health and safety standards
Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence
Filing patient records
Follow infection control protocols diligently to uphold the highest standards of hygiene
Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and external suppliers to facilitate efficient practice operations

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of patient care principles and healthcare practices
Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Interest in nursing or healthcare professions, with a willingness to learn new skills
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
IT literacy for maintaining electronic records and appointment scheduling
Strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members
Ability to work as part of a team in a busy clinical environment
No prior experience required; training will be provided to support your development as a dental nurse trainee
