Commercial Coordinator (Renewable Energy)

Cheltenham

£30,000 - £35,000

Noriker Power is a leading renewable energy integrator and developer specialising in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects that support the UK and Ireland’s power grid. Over the past ten years, we’ve developed and built more than 350MW of battery and hybrid facilities with an extensive pipeline of projects. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and long-term impact, we have become a key player in the energy transition driving the development of grid-scale projects that shape the future of a renewable and sustainable grid.

We are seeking a Commercial Coordinator with a focus on commercial delivery of projects. You will provide a key supportive function for the commercial team in administering, coordinating and negotiating on commercial aspects throughout the lifecycle of major infrastructure BESS projects.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, possess a strong sense of responsibility, and be committed to delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in administering project contracts in line with contractual terms and procedures
Maintain contract registers, correspondence logs, and commercial records
Track key contractual dates, deadlines, and notice requirements
Support interpretation of contract clauses related to payments, variations, and notices
Support preparation and maintenance of project cost reports
Track committed costs, actuals, and forecasts in coordination with the Project Management team
Log, track, and maintain registers for contract variations, change orders, claims and potential claims
Prepare commercial reports for projects, reporting on status vs baseline
Track and document project financial exposure, including cashflow forecasts and support cash collection activities
Support in commercial negotiations
Assess payment applications from 3rd parties, coordinating with internal & external teams
Verify subcontractor and supplier invoices against contract terms
Support quantification of commercial risks and potential recoveries
Assist with internal and external audits as required
Support project close-out, including final accounts and contract completion records
Assist in preparing progress payment applications and milestone claims in line with contract terms
Collaborate with Commercial and Project teams
Manage commercial variations in project agreements and assist with project budgets
Coordinate with project stakeholders and internal teams
Support business development objectives
Assist with corporate and project financing
Track regulatory changes, ensuring impacts on the company and projects are captured.
Commercial administrative tasks

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Economics field.
Problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, with exemplary organisational and time management skills
Ability and willingness to commute to Cheltenham - this role is fully office-based for at least the first year
