About the Role

We are a growing fencing contractor specialising in high-quality temporary and permanent onground and inground fencing solutions across the UK. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Labourer / Fencing Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who isn't just looking for a job, but a career. We are specifically looking for someone with the ambition to progress—we want to train you to become a skilled installer, with the clear opportunity to lead your own team as the business expands. Note on Status: This is a self-employed contract for services. You are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance contributions. If you are new to self-employment, we are happy to assist the right candidate in navigating the transition to becoming a self-employed sub-contractor.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Assisting with the installation of various onground and inground fencing systems on a wide variety of sites nationwide.

- Handling, preparing, and positioning materials. Utilising hand and power tools to ensure high-quality installations.

- Working safely and effectively as part of a team to hit project deadlines. Security & Compliance: Working on Tier 1 sites, which may require additional security vetting, site-specific inductions, and background screening.

What We Need From You

CSCS Card: You must hold a valid, in-date CSCS card.

Driving Licence: A full, clean driving licence is required. You will be expected to drive to our designated location daily, where you will join the team to travel to sites.

Background: Due to the nature of our clients (Tier 1 sites), you must have a clean criminal record. Please note: Vetting, screening, and specific DBS checks will be required for certain projects.

Experience & Skills: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is essential. Having your own set of basic hand tools is advantageous, though all major tools required for daily work are provided by us.

Work Ethic: A strong, positive attitude towards manual labour and a willingness to learn our specific methods.

Mindset: You can follow instructions precisely, but are confident enough to use your own initiative on-site.

PPE: You are expected to provide your own full orange and yellow high-visibility workwear (trousers and jackets). We will provide branded high-visibility waistcoats for site use. You must also provide your own standard site PPE, including a hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe cap boots.
