1Leisure is looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Leisure Attendants to support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of our swimming pools, sports halls, and changing facilities.
Leisure Attendants play a vital role in ensuring a high standard of customer care, cleanliness, and health & safety, helping to create a welcoming and safe environment for all users of the facility.
The role involves working both on and off poolside, supervising activities, maintaining facilities, and responding appropriately to customer needs and operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising swimming and leisure activities to ensure customer safety at all times
- Maintaining poolside, changing rooms, and activity areas through regular cleanliness and safety checks
- Following all Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)
- Carrying out first aid, rescues, and emergency responses when required, and completing associated records
- Setting up and dismantling equipment for activities and events
- Providing friendly, helpful customer service and assisting members and visitors with enquiries
We are looking for individuals who are reliable, responsible, and customer-focused, with good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
A current NPLQ (RLSS or NARS) lifeguard qualification and First Aid qualification are desirable. Previous experience in a leisure or customer-facing environment would be an advantage, although full training may be provided where appropriate.
The role requires flexibility, with shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays, in line with operational needs. Applicants must also be physically capable of undertaking the duties of the role
