New Business Assistant
Location: Newport, South Wales
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

Join Our Growing Team

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our New Business team as a New Business Assistant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent administrative and customer service skills. No previous legal experience is required full training will be provided.

About the Role

As a New Business Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for many of our new clients, helping them begin their conveyancing journey. You'll play a key role in delivering an excellent first impression while ensuring new instructions are processed efficiently and accurately.

Your responsibilities will include:

Speaking with prospective and existing clients via telephone and email.
Assisting clients with onboarding and opening new files.
Providing quotations for residential conveyancing matters.
Collecting information required to start transactions.
Carrying out client identification and compliance checks.
Liaising with mortgage brokers, estate agents and other third parties.
Updating our case management system with accurate information.
Managing new enquiries and allocating work to the appropriate teams.
Supporting the wider New Business team with general administrative tasks.

A confident user of Microsoft Office and computer systems.

Eager to learn and develop within a growing law firm.

Desirable (but not essential)

Previous experience in customer service, administration or a call-handling role.
Experience working in a professional office environment.
An interest in the legal or property sector.
