Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in meat preparation and food safety, with a passion for food production. As a Butcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and freshness of our meat products, while adhering to strict hygiene standards.

Duties

Prepare, cut, and package various types of meat according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including tools and equipment.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently and accurately.
Provide excellent customer service by answering queries regarding meat products and preparation methods.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food production.

Skills

Proficient in kitchen operations with a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
Extensive knowledge of butcher skills, including cutting, trimming, and deboning meat.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Experience in food production environments, preferably within a restaurant or similar setting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and customers.
