Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Nursery Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate must 18 years old +, will support the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The Nursery Assistant will work closely with management and leadership teams to ensure high standards of childcare and education are maintained.

Duties

Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to provide updates on children's progress and needs
Help manage behavioural issues with patience and professionalism, encouraging positive behaviour
Support management in adhering to health and safety regulations within the nursery setting
Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance, and activity documentation
Occasionally support transportation needs by driving when required, ensuring safe travel arrangements for children

Experience

Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices, desirable but not compulsory
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Experience in childcare management or supervisory roles is advantageous
Experience working with diverse groups of children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and organisational skills

This job opportunity is a permanent position and isn't suitable for summer work.
