Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our small but very busy dental practice. The successful candidate will support the dentist during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where organisational skills and effective communication are essential. The Dental Nurse will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services whilst maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients.

Duties

Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Prepare treatment room with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records using IT systems
Ensure the clinic maintains high standards of cleanliness and organisation
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns
Monitor patient wellbeing throughout treatments, providing reassurance as needed

Experience

Prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong patient care skills with a focus on compassion and professionalism
Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with patients and team members
Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment scheduling
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment
Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
