Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to provide specialised care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with children, adolescents, and adults, assisting them in managing their conditions and promoting their overall well-being. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised care plans, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all service users. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through empathetic support and professional care.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalised mental health support to individuals, including those with autism and disabilities, in various settings.
Assist with daily activities, promoting independence and social integration.
Administer medication as authorised and required, following strict protocols.
Implement behaviour management strategies using techniques such as applied behaviour analysis (ABA).
Work with children and young people, including those in special education programmes, to support their emotional and behavioural needs.
Monitor and record behavioural changes, progress, and any incidents accurately in accordance with organisational policies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review care plans tailored to individual needs.
Provide patient care that respects dignity, confidentiality, and individual preferences at all times.
Support families and carers by providing guidance and information about ongoing care strategies.

Qualifications

Experience working with children or individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable.
Knowledge of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) techniques is advantageous.
Prior experience in special education or patient care roles is preferred.
Ability to administer medication following prescribed protocols.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with service users of all ages.
Compassionate approach with a commitment to supporting mental health recovery and well-being.
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are desirable but not essential. This role offers an enriching environment for those passionate about making a positive impact on individuals' lives through dedicated mental health support work.

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
