Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to transforming spaces with colour and finish, ensuring client satisfaction through professional craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail.
Mixing paints and colours to achieve desired shades as specified by clients or project requirements.
Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy during and after completion of projects.
Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress, timelines, and any issues encountered.
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Assisting with minor carpentry or repair tasks related to decorating projects when required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related trade.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to interpret project specifications accurately.
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating work.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
Organised approach to work with attention to detail ensuring high-quality finishes on every project. This position offers an engaging environment where craftsmanship is valued, providing opportunities for professional growth within the decorating industry.

Pay: £16.00 per hour
