At Riseholme College, we're looking for a Laboratory Technician to provide high-quality technical and scientific support within our Science Centre. You'll play a vital role in preparing practical sessions, maintaining specialist equipment, supporting teaching staff and ensuring students have access to outstanding learning experiences.
You may currently be working as a Laboratory Technician, Science Technician, Research Assistant, Quality Control Technician, Biomedical Technician, Food Science Technician, Environmental Technician or in another scientific support role where organisation, accuracy and problem-solving are essential.
You'll be someone who:
- Has a qualification in a science-related subject or relevant laboratory industry experience.
- Enjoys working with a wide range of scientific equipment and practical resources.
- Has a strong understanding of laboratory health and safety, including COSHH and risk assessments.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards and supporting others to succeed.
- Is proactive, organised and able to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
- Enjoys sharing technical knowledge and supporting both staff and students.
