Support Worker – South Tyneside (Jarrow)

Part-time: Days and sleep-in shifts (65 hours over a 4 week period)

Experience with challenging behaviour required

Contracted hours: 65 hours over a 4 week period

Days and sleep-in shifts

Salary: £13.10

Required:

Experience with challenging behaviour, working in a 2 – 1 basis
Experience with adults with learning disabilities, autism
Committed, empathetic, able to work in a team and on own initiative

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience with challenging behaviour, essential.
Good sense of humour
Able to support sensory needs and triggers.
Outgoing and passionate about improving the service user’s quality of life.
Knowledge of positive behaviour support, risk assessments & de-escalation strategies.
Proactive and motivated to look for new activities and experiences for the people we support.
Strong communication skills
