Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in using hand and power tools. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, MOT servicing and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models including 4x4 and vans. Various types equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Ability to work to deadlines and rich the targets.

Duties

Diagnose mechanical issues through observation and testing of machinery.
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on equipment.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and clients effectively.
A relevant qualification or certification in mechanics or engineering is preferred but not essential.
