Full job description

JOB PURPOSE

To maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment* in an efficient and cost-effective manner whilst in compliance with the Company Health and Safety policy

Although not an exhaustive list, this is likely to include wood-working machinery, PLC, HVAC systems, compactors, lighting and other static and portable electrical equipment, systems and circuitry

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Representing the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients

To collate and complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures

To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times

To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Facilities Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement

To advise the Facilities Manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store

To manage the attendance of any subcontractors if required in line with the Facilities Manager request and company process

To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Facilities Manager

To carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications

To maintain accurate Time Sheets and Mileage Logs as required

To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments

To comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times

To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the Line Manager

Ensuring company vehicle (where provided) is kept clean, well maintained and serviced as required
