Albert Bartlett, a pioneering leader in the potato industry since 1948, is on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Shift Engineer to join our vibrant team. We pride ourselves on delivering top-quality potato products across fresh, chilled, and frozen ranges, and we believe that a strong engineering team is key to maintaining our excellence.

As a Shift Engineer working rotating days and nights, you will be at the heart of our production process, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and effectively. You'll play a vital role in troubleshooting, maintenance, and supporting continuous improvements on-site. Key Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery during rotating day and night shifts.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues swiftly and efficiently.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying equipment optimization opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment performance.
Adhere to all health and safety policies, promoting a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as an engineer within a manufacturing or food production environment is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work flexibly on rotating day and night shifts.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of health and safety standards in an industrial setting.
Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship preferred.
