Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organised Workshop Manager to oversee daily operations within our workshop environment.

£55k + salary (depending on experience) + bonus.

Hours are 7.30am to 17.30pm Monday to Friday (with alternate Saturday mornings).

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workflow and supervising staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and technical knowledge to contribute to the smooth running of our workshop facilities.

Skills

Experience of managing a workshop and a team of technicians
Proven experience as a Workshop Manager, Fleet Engineer Manager or Senior HGV Supervisor
Strong HGV mechanical and engineering knowledge
Experience managing commercial vehicle maintenance operations
Good understanding of DVSA regulations and fleet compliance
Experience managing technicians and workshop teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment
Strong organisational and planning skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
Commercial awareness and cost-control experience
Strong IT and workshop management system experience
Comfortable working with remote management

This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a hands-on environment, values safety standards, and possesses strong organisational abilities. The Workshop Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the workshop operates smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality.

Pay: From £55,000.00 per year
