Job Description: Receptionist & Membership Advisor

Location: Overstone Park Resort

Department: Front of House / Membership

Contract Type: 2 people, 20 hours per person

Schedule: Monday to Sunday (Includes Early Starts & Late Finishes)

About the Role

Overstone Park is seeking a charismatic and professional Receptionist & Membership Advisor to be the face of our resort. You will be the first point of contact for our members and guests, ensuring their experience is exceptional from the moment they walk through the door.

This is not just a desk job; it is a dynamic role combining front-of-house hospitality, membership sales, and facility operations. We are not looking for fitness experts; we are looking for hospitality professionals with a flair for sales and a passion for people.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reception & Guest Experience

Deliver a warm, 5-star welcome to all members and resort visitors.
Manage the front desk switchboard, answering calls, and handling enquiries professionally.
Manage bookings for the resort facilities and amenities.
Resolve member queries or complaints with a "can-do" hospitality attitude.

2. Membership Sales & Tours

Handle membership enquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins.
Conduct professional tours of the resort and facilities for prospective members.
Use your sales skills to convert enquiries into active memberships (consultative selling approach).
Assist with membership administration and processing new joiner paperwork.

3. Operations (Opening & Closing)

Opening Shifts: Responsible for unlocking the facilities (early mornings), turning on lights/systems, and ensuring the club is presentable for the first guests.
Closing Shifts: Responsible for full lock-up procedures, cashing up tills, securing the premises, and setting alarms in the evening.
Ensure the reception area and lobby remain clean and tidy throughout the shift.

Who We Are Looking For

Essential Requirements:

Hospitality Experience: You must have previous experience working in the hospitality industry (e.g., hotels, front of house, concierge, or premium guest services).
Sales Experience: We are looking for candidates with experience sales.
Please Note: While we value sales skills, we are specifically looking for experience outside of standard high-street retail.
Operational Reliability: You must be comfortable with responsibility, specifically regarding unlocking/locking a large building and handling cash.
Flexibility: Must be available to work a rotational rota that includes weekends (Saturday/Sunday), early mornings (for opening), and evenings (for closing).

Personal Attributes

Immaculate personal presentation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confidence to work independently during opening/closing times.
A proactive approach to upselling the club's lifestyle.
