Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Meat Process Worker to join our food production team. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment focused on meat processing and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining high-quality production while adhering to health and safety regulations. Previous experience in food production or meat processing is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer opportunities for skill development within the food industry.

Duties

Assist with the preparation and processing of meat products according to company standards and safety regulations
Operate specialised equipment used in meat cutting, trimming, and packaging processes
Ensure all products meet HACCP guidelines and food safety standards at every stage of production
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in compliance with hygiene protocols
Conduct quality checks on meat products, identifying any defects or irregularities
Support the team in meeting production targets while maintaining safety procedures
Record data accurately related to production volumes, weights, and quality control measures

Skills

Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is essential
Experience or familiarity with food production processes is desirable
Mechanical knowledge beneficial for operating and troubleshooting processing equipment
Basic maths skills for measuring, weighing, and recording data accurately
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
Attention to detail to ensure high standards of product quality and safety standards are maintained
