At Moog Aircraft Group, we’re looking for a time-served CNC Machinist (Turner / Mill-Turn) to join our team in Wolverhampton.
This isn’t production machining you’ll be working on complex, high-spec aerospace components, where every job is different and accuracy really matters.
You’ll be working across CNC machines, setting and running jobs from start to finish and making sure everything meets drawing and quality standards. If you’re someone who takes pride in your work, knows your way around multi-axis machines, and is used to working to tight tolerances, you’ll fit in well here.
As a CNC Machinist, you will:
- Set and operare CNC turning and mill-turn machines
- Run multiple machines/processes where required
- Work to tight tolerances on complex aerospace parts
- Carry out your own first-off inspection
- Complete quality documentation accurately
- Use a range of measuring and inspection equipment
- Make sure all work meets drawing and aerospace standards
To be considered for this role, here's what you'll typically bring with you:
- Time-served apprenticeship (essential)
- Solid experience in a machine shop environment
- Strong background in CNC turning and/or mill-turn machining
- Comfortable working with multi-axis / complex components
- Good understanding of tools, speeds, feeds, and machining methods
- Confident using inspection equipment and working to tight tolerances
- Someone who’s hands-on, dependable, and takes ownership of their work
Experience with the following is beneficial:
- Machines such as Okuma, Mazak, DMG Mori, Matsuura, Puma lathes
- Aerospace or other high-spec industries
- Continuous improvement or process optimisation
Shifts
Currently a day shift role, with the potential to move into shifts in future:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- 10:00pm – 6:00am
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
