Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent service to customers, preparing and serving drinks, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere within our establishment. Previous experience in hospitality is preferred, but full training will be provided. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a lively environment while ensuring guests enjoy their experience.

Duties

Serve a variety of beverages including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks efficiently and courteously
Take orders from customers accurately and promptly
Prepare and garnish drinks according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glasses and cleaning work surfaces
Monitor stock levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed
Ensure compliance responsible alcohol service policies
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system
Engage with customers to create a friendly, welcoming environment
Assist in setting up for events or special occasions when required

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
Knowledge of responsible alcohol service is desirable
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
Excellent time management to handle busy periods efficiently
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills to keep the bar area tidy and well-stocked
A personable attitude with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
