Full job description

SOUL Nursery is an Ofsted good rated Early Years setting providing care and education for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. SOUL Nursery is an extension of SOUL Church, on Heartsease Lane, Norwich, and we welcome families of all backgrounds, including children with additional needs. We aim to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where we make learning fun through play. We feel it is important to work together to help children feel loved, accepted and nurtured.

About the Role

We are looking to employ a term time Early years practitioner, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm during term time.

The successful applicant would work closely with the room lead and will be expected to:

Work as part of the team;
Ensure observations are made on iConnect for all children and that they are completed to a high standard following the EYFS;
Be a key person to a group of children;
Speak to parents at the start of the day and to feed back at the end of the day;

The successful applicant must possess:

A relevant level 3 early years qualification;
At least 1 years’ experience of working in an early years setting and with babies would be desirable;
Good written and verbal communication skills;

While not essential as full training will be provided, it would be desirable for the successful applicant to possess the following:

Experience of using iConnect software;
Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate;
