Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Static Security Officer to cover sites in Newark and surrounding areas In this role, you will maintain a visible security presence, monitor access points, and ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and property. Due to varied start times own transport is preferred. As an SIA approved company a full 5 years screening is required.

Responsibilities

Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility’s perimeter, entrances, and critical zones to detect unauthorized activity or safety hazards.
Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and visitor records for accountability and reporting purposes.
Enforce safety policies and procedures consistently to uphold a secure environment for all personnel.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining security protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in security position.
Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail during surveillance and patrols.
Ability to remain alert and composed during long shifts in a static position.
Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors.
Basic knowledge of security equipment such as CCTV systems, access control devices, and alarm systems is advantageous.
Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods and perform physical inspections when required.
Valid SIA license is mandatory. A full driving licence is preferred.
