Full job description

Grays Locksmiths – a trusted name in Nottingham since 1987 – is expanding! We're looking for a skilled and reliable Locksmith to join our friendly, professional team.

About the Role:

As a locksmith with Grays, you’ll be the face of our company—responding to domestic and commercial call-outs, installing and repairing locks, gaining entry, and providing exceptional customer service. You'll also assist in our workshop and retail store when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend emergency and scheduled locksmith jobs across Nottinghamshire
Gain non-destructive and destructive entry to properties
Fit, repair, and upgrade all types of locks and security hardware
Provide expert advice and security recommendations to customers
Keep accurate job records and handle payments/invoices where required

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a locksmith (minimum 2 years preferred)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

Desirable:

Experience with safes, access control systems, or auto locksmithing
MLA certification or willingness to work towards it
