Full job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to join our team at Wolds Wine Estate, Nottinghamshire.

Nestled within our beautiful vineyard estate, our popular 80-seat café serves high-quality breakfasts and lunches from Wednesday to Sunday. We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, showcasing fresh local produce, and creating a welcoming environment for every guest.

About the Role

As Café Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day operation of the café, leading the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service while ensuring smooth and efficient service standards throughout each day.

You will be a hands-on leader, helping to motivate the team, maintain high standards, and ensure every customer enjoys a memorable visit.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising and supporting the front-of-house team during service
Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer queries professionally
Assisting with staff training, coaching, and development
Managing daily opening and closing procedures
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering requirements
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
Supporting the management team with operational duties and service improvements
Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
A proactive and positive attitude with strong attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods
Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences

40 - 45 hours per week over 5 days
