Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Authorized Officer to oversee operational compliance and safety standards within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all procedures are adhered to, maintaining the integrity of our operations. A background in mechanical knowledge is desirable to support technical assessments and problem-solving tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to upholding high standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Monitor and enforce compliance with organisational policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and operational processes to identify potential issues or hazards.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
Collaborate with technical teams to assess mechanical systems and recommend improvements or repairs as necessary.
Provide training and guidance to staff regarding safety procedures and operational protocols.
Investigate incidents or breaches of compliance, preparing detailed reports for management review.
Assist in the development and implementation of safety programmes and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role or within an operational compliance environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge is highly desirable to facilitate technical assessments and troubleshooting.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to interpret technical documents, regulations, and safety standards effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for training and reporting purposes.
Demonstrated ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members.
A recognised qualification related to health & safety or mechanical engineering is advantageous but not essential. This role is integral to maintaining our organisation's commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Pay: £12.80 per hour
