The Benjamin Foundation | King's Lynn

£12.94 per hour - 4.5 hours per week (Fridays, 4:00pm to 8:30pm)
Term-time only - Fixed-term contract until 31 August 2029

The Benjamin Foundation is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Youth Support Worker to join our King's Lynn Youth Service team. This is an exciting opportunity to support and inspire young people aged 8-11 and 12+, helping them access positive activities, build confidence, and have their voices heard.

Working alongside our Youth Work Group Lead, you will help deliver engaging youth sessions in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment while contributing to the ongoing success of our youth provision.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the delivery of weekly youth group sessions for young people aged 8-11 and 12-17
Planning and facilitating fun, engaging, and meaningful activities
Building positive relationships with young people and encouraging participation
Ensuring all young people are safeguarded and supported
Assisting with session evaluations, monitoring, and evidence gathering
Supporting volunteers within the sessions
Helping maintain safe and welcoming venues
Writing case studies and contributing to project reporting

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting or working with children and young people
Knowledge of the needs and challenges facing young people today
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and best practice
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A caring, empathetic, and approachable nature
Ability to work professionally and maintain appropriate boundaries
A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
Resilience, common sense, and a good sense of humour
Commitment to delivering high-quality services for young people
Level 2 Youth Work qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one is desirable
First Aid qualification is desirable
