Job Overview

- Van Delivery Driver

- Van will be company owned, all fuel, insurance, maintenance will be provided by the company.

We are seeking a reliable and professional Yodel Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels efficiently and safely to customers across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans or lorries, along assigned routes to deliver parcels to residential and commercial addresses
Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures
Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays
Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Experience with commercial driving and operating various types of delivery vehicles
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Good organisational skills for route planning and time management
Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous but not essential
