Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in dental nursing while supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. The role is paid and suitable for individuals interested in developing a career within the dental healthcare sector. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, eager to learn, and committed to providing compassionate patient support under supervision.

Duties

Assisting dentists during various dental procedures by preparing instruments and materials
Ensuring the treatment room is clean, organised, and fully stocked with necessary supplies
Providing support to patients before, during, and after treatments, ensuring their comfort and reassurance
Maintaining accurate patient records and updating files as required
Adhering to infection control protocols and health & safety standards at all times
Supporting administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
Learning and applying relevant dental procedures, protocols, and terminology through on-the-job training

Skills

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
Basic IT skills for managing patient records and administrative tasks
Organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a busy environment
A caring attitude with a focus on patient care and confidentiality
Good command of English, both spoken and written
An interest in nursing or healthcare professions with a willingness to learn new skills

Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
