Join a Leading TV & Film Set Building Team

EC Creative Services Ltd is a well-established set-building company with over 25 years of experience creating high-quality sets for the TV, film, and exhibition industries across the UK and internationally.

Due to continued growth and demand, we are looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our skilled and friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting, high-profile television projects while enjoying competitive pay, regular overtime opportunities, and long-term career stability.

About the Role

As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a key role in the manufacture of bespoke TV scenery and set pieces. Working predominantly with light gauge steel and box section, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components from technical drawings and specifications.

Reporting to the Workshop Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Fabricating and welding bespoke metalwork for television and exhibition projects.
Working from technical drawings to produce accurate, high-quality work.
Using a range of workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
Ensuring all work is completed to agreed quality standards and project deadlines.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.
Occasionally assisting with on-site installations and project work when required.

No two projects are the same, offering a varied and rewarding role within a creative and fast-paced industry.

Skills & Experience

Essential

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Fabricator/Welder.
NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding (or equivalent qualification).
Experience operating Kingsland punches, guillotines, cold-cut saws, and band saws.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work overtime when required.
Creative approach to problem-solving and fabrication challenges.

Desirable

Experience working within the TV, film, exhibition, or creative industries.
Full UK driving licence.

Regular overtime is available and expected during busy periods:

Time and a half paid after 40 hours worked
Double time paid on Sundays
