**About HQC** HQC London Ltd is delivering a refurbishment project in Guisborough and is seeking a capable, hands-on Site Supervisor / Working Foreman to take day-to-day control of the site and support safe, organised and efficient delivery. This role is suited to someone with solid experience in refurbishment / fit-out / general building works who can supervise trades confidently, maintain standards on site, and still contribute practically where appropriate. --- **About the Role** You will be HQC's daily site-based lead for the project. You will be responsible for helping mobilise the project into live operation, supervising labour, coordinating subcontractors and trades, maintaining site control, supporting health and safety compliance, monitoring quality, and helping keep the works on programme from start to finish. This is a working foreman / supervisor role, not a Site Manager role. However, the right candidate may also benefit from exposure to wider coordination and project delivery responsibilities, provided they already have the practical site supervision experience needed to run the site properly. --- **Project Scope** The works include internal refurbishment activities such as: strip-out and opening-up, internal walls and partitions, internal doors and ironmongery, wall, floor and ceiling finishes, fittings and sanitary works, coordination with mechanical and electrical installations, testing, snagging and handover support. The building will be vacant during the works. --- **Key Responsibilities** Support mobilisation of the project into live operation, including site setup, access arrangements, welfare readiness, induction process, signage, temporary controls, material delivery planning, subcontractor start-up coordination, and readiness for safe commencement of works. Open, manage and close the site on a daily basis. Supervise direct labour, trades and subcontractors. Coordinate daily site activities from mobilisation through to completion, including labour, subcontractors, materials, deliveries, work sequencing, inspections, snagging and close-out. Lead site inductions, briefings and toolbox talks. Ensure RAMS, permits, housekeeping, access control and general site discipline are maintained. Monitor progress, productivity and workmanship. Check quality of works before close-up and at key stages. Manage materials, deliveries, storage and work sequencing. Identify site issues early and escalate them promptly. Keep accurate daily records, progress updates and photo evidence where required. Support snagging, inspections and close-out activities. Represent HQC professionally on site at all times. --- **Essential Requirements** SSSTS (Minimum), CSCS Gold Supervisor card (Minimum), First Aid at Work, Asbestos Awareness. Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman or Working Foreman on refurbishment / fit-out / general building projects. Ability to supervise multiple trades and keep site activity properly coordinated. Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities on site. Ability to read drawings, manage daily priorities and maintain quality control. Reliable, organised and able to communicate clearly with management, subcontractors and operatives. Right to work in the UK. --- **Desirable** Experience on public sector or local authority projects. Experience coordinating builder's work and M&E interfaces. Experience of working in accordance with CDM 2015. Basic IT skills for daily reporting / site records. Ambition to develop toward Site Manager level in time, supported by proven supervisory ability now. --- **What HQC is Looking For** We are looking for a candidate who can already run a small to medium refurbishment site day-to-day, not someone who only wants to observe or learn the role for the first time. The right person will be: practical and hands-on, strong on site control and standards, able to keep work moving, confident dealing with trades and subcontractors, calm under pressure, professional in front of the client and wider team. --- **Contract / Package** Fixed-term contract for the project duration. Full-time, site-based role. Salary / package dependent on experience and suitability. Opportunity to work with HQC on future projects, subject to performance and workload. --- **How to Apply** Please apply with: evidence of SSSTS, CSCS Gold Supervisor card, First Aid at Work, and Asbestos Awareness, your CV, your current location, your availability to start. HQC London Ltd is looking to appoint the right candidate quickly, so early applications are encouraged.
