As the Head of Sales and Business Development. You will be responsible for leading the commercial growth strategy of Unique GP, driving revenue generation, expanding market presence, and securing new business opportunities across the Formula 1 hospitality sector. The role will develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, build long-term client relationships, identify new markets and partnerships, and position the company as a leading provider of premium hospitality experiences.
The postholder will be instrumental in expanding the business through new client acquisition, sponsorship opportunities, strategic partnerships, corporate hospitality sales, and innovative commercial initiatives whilst ensuring exceptional customer experiences and sustainable profitability.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and implement the company's sales and business development strategy to achieve ambitious revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across Formula 1 hospitality, corporate events, luxury travel, and premium experiences.
- Generate new revenue streams through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, corporate clients, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Build a robust sales pipeline and oversee all stages of the sales process from prospecting through to contract completion.
- Establish annual sales plans, forecasts, and performance objectives aligned with the company's growth ambitions.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Drive a high-performance sales culture focused on achieving commercial objectives.
Business Development
- Develop relationships with key corporate clients, sponsors, motorsport partners, luxury brands, and industry stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand the Unique GP brand into new international markets and hospitality offerings.
- Create innovative commercial propositions that differentiate Unique GP within the premium hospitality market.
- Represent the company at Formula 1 events, networking functions, exhibitions, and industry conferences.
- Build strategic alliances that support long-term business growth.
- Lead negotiations for major commercial agreements and partnership opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Deliver exceptional client experiences throughout the sales journey.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, client retention, and account growth.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and relationship management.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure client expectations are successfully delivered.
Commercial Strategy
- Develop pricing strategies and sales packages that maximise profitability.
- Contribute to the creation of premium hospitality products and bespoke experiences.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and revenue.
- Prepare commercial reports, forecasts, and pipeline analysis for senior leadership.
- Support the development of marketing campaigns that generate qualified sales opportunities.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Collaborate with marketing to develop campaigns that strengthen the Unique GP brand.
- Support digital marketing initiatives, lead generation campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Build brand awareness within the motorsport, luxury hospitality, and corporate events sectors.
- Represent the company professionally across all customer and stakeholder interactions.
Financial Performance
- Deliver agreed sales revenue, profitability, and business growth targets.
- Manage sales budgets and forecasting.
- Monitor sales performance against KPIs and implement improvement strategies where required.
- Maximise return on investment from commercial activities and partnerships.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop the sales and business development team.
- Recruit, coach, and mentor high-performing sales professionals.
- Create a collaborative, commercially focused culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
- Establish clear objectives, performance measures, and development plans for team members.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with operations, marketing, finance, and event delivery teams.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of Unique GP.
- Identify opportunities for diversification and long-term commercial expansion.
- Support investment decisions and future growth initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, CRM utilisation, and customer engagement.

Skills & Experience
- Proven success in senior sales and business development leadership roles.
- Demonstrable experience growing revenue within hospitality, luxury travel, motorsport, events, or premium experiences.
- Strong track record of winning high-value corporate accounts and strategic partnerships.
- Experience selling premium hospitality or luxury experiences would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Experience developing sales strategies and leading high-performing sales teams.
- CRM and pipeline management experience.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Existing network within motorsport, luxury hospitality, sports, corporate events, or premium lifestyle sectors would be advantageous.
