We're delivering Bedford Borough Council's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme this summer and we're building our team now. Starting Friday 17th July 2026, you'll help run active, creative holiday sessions for children and young people in Bedford.
What you'll do:
- Run games, sports, arts, and creative activities
- Help children have a brilliant, safe summer — including children with SEND and additional needs
- Support mealtimes as part of the HAF food provision
- Be a positive, reliable role model every single day
Who this suits:
- Students (education, sports, health, psychology — or any subject with the right attitude)
- Teaching assistants looking for summer work
- Sports coaches, youth workers, and anyone with experience around children
- Anyone with experience of SEND or autism — a real advantage with us
What you need:
- Some experience with children or young people — paid, voluntary, or informal
- Reliability — children need consistent faces
- Energy, patience, and a genuine liking for young people
- Enhanced DBS — we process this for you, but apply NOW as checks take time
Nice to have (not essential — we'll train you):
- Paediatric First Aid
- Food Hygiene Level 2
- Safeguarding training
