Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee service quality, manage staff, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. The successful applicant will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food safety, team management, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
Supervise and motivate team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and baristas, fostering a positive working environment.
Coordinate food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Support in managing reservations, seating arrangements, and customer service to optimise guest satisfaction.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality control and consistency across all menu items.
Assist with training new staff members in hospitality standards, food safety protocols, and service procedures.
Handle customer enquiries or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning, special events, and promotional activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
Extensive restaurant experience including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality services.
Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
Previous kitchen experience or culinary background is highly desirable.
Experience working in hotel environments or barista roles will be considered advantageous.
Strong organisational skills coupled with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting. This role offers an engaging environment for professionals passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences while developing their leadership capabilities within the hospitality industry.

Pay: £30,500.00-£32,500.00 per year
