Key Responsibilities

Working alongside the HIAB Operator, your daily duties will include:

Slinger Banksman Duties: Safely directing and guiding HIAB operations during column movements, installations, and removals.
Installation Support: Acting as the "Second Man" on-site, assisting with the safe installation/removal of street lighting columns and foundations.
Excavation & Reinstatement: Hand excavation activities and temporary reinstatement of ground surfaces.
Traffic Management: Setting up and maintaining effective signing, lighting, and guarding (NRSWA).
Site Safety: Maintaining high health, safety, and environmental standards, with a strict focus on working safely near buried apparatus.

Mandatory Requirements

To hit the ground running in this role, you must possess:

Street Lighting Experience: Proven, hands-on experience specifically within the street lighting sector.
Slinger Banksman Ticket: A valid, current qualification (Non-Crane / Signaller).
Streetworks: Valid NRSWA Streetworks card (Unit 2/O1 minimum).
Safety Card: Valid CSCS Card.
Driving Licence: Full, clean UK Driving Licence with reliable transport to get to the Huddersfield depot for 06:30 AM.
Availability: Ready for an immediate start.
