Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces within residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires attention to detail, a strong sense of colour coordination, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an opportunity to utilise your craftsmanship in transforming spaces while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and fixtures with precision and care.
Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment to achieve desired effects.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with specifications and client expectations.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste appropriately.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any potential issues.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times during the execution of duties.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Good command of English language for clear communication with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret instructions accurately.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Organised approach to work with attention to detail and quality standards.
