Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, demonstrating strong management and leadership skills. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development within a nurturing environment. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills in English and hold relevant childcare qualifications. A valid driving licence is desirable to support flexible working arrangements. This paid position is suitable for individuals committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and educational setting for young learners.

Duties

Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards
Supervise and support children during play, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
Assist in the organisation of nursery routines and activities, ensuring smooth daily operations
Support the professional development of junior staff or interns through mentorship and guidance
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Drive or assist with transportation duties when required, supporting outings or appointments

Skills

Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, with a strong understanding of early childhood development principles
Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities within a childcare environment
Excellent communication skills in English, able to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative
Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a dynamic nursery setting
Valid driving licence preferred to facilitate transportation duties when necessary
