Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable 3.5t Driver & FLT Operator to join our logistics team. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience in materials handling. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting efficient shipping and receiving operations while maintaining high safety standards.

Duties

Safely operate a 3.5-tonne delivery vehicle and forklift truck (FLT) to transport goods within the warehouse and to external locations
Load and unload materials, ensuring accurate placement and securement of items
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed to ensure operational safety and efficiency
Handle materials with care, adhering to health and safety regulations during all handling activities
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any faults or issues promptly
Maintain a clean, organised work environment to promote safety and productivity

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with a recognised 3.5t licence (cat B)
Valid forklift truck licence (FLT) recognised by the relevant authorities
Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently, including lifting loads up to 25kg or more
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Prior experience operating forklift trucks.
