Full job description

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team, providing high-quality administrative and financial support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with finance administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering excellent customer service.

Duties:

Process and review expense claims, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Raise and investigate queries relating to expenditure, escalating complex issues where appropriate.
Support the administration of departmental advances and prepaid cards, including reconciliations and clearance processes.
Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately and in line with internal and external regulations.
Act as a key point of contact for expense-related queries, managing a shared finance inbox.
Provide advice and guidance on financial procedures and policies.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and central finance teams.
Deliver a high standard of customer service while maintaining compliance with financial processes.

Selection criteria:

Previous experience working in a finance or financial administration role.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to process high volumes of transactional work accurately.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
A positive, proactive approach and excellent customer service skills.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
The ability to quickly learn and follow financial regulations, policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
