Full job description

We are seeking a proactive and organised HR Administrator to support day-to-day HR operations, payroll administration and employee record management. The role combines HR systems administration, recruitment support, payroll coordination and customer service within a busy HR environment.

The position is set to commence ASAP and will be part-time 18.25hrs for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £14.98 per hour + holiday pay

Key Duties:

Provide administrative support to senior HR colleagues and HR Business Partners
Maintain employee records within PeopleXD and electronic filing systems, ensuring GDPR compliance
Process HR and payroll data, including payroll changes, reports and data returns
Support monthly payroll processes in line with deadlines and funding requirements
Carry out right-to-work checks and maintain compliant personnel documentation
Support recruitment, promotions, title conferment and related HR processes
Prepare contracts, engagement letters and HR correspondence
Act as first point of contact for HR enquiries via phone, email and face to face
Organise meetings, maintain records and provide general administrative support
Process purchase orders and invoices through Oracle Finance
Support preparation of HR reports and maintain HR intranet content

Selection Criteria:

GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Experience working within an HR environment
Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and information security requirements
Experience using Microsoft Office, databases and HR systems
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Good numeracy skills, including basic payroll and leave calculations
Proactive approach and ability to identify issues and follow up appropriately
