Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant

Location: South West London

Salary: Up to £35,000 FTE per annum DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Mon - Fri

Contract: Permanent – 52 weeks or 50 week Summer Contract

About the role

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Momenta, you will be responsible for providing interventions under the guidance of a registered Occupational Therapist. You will also provide feedback on client progress, attend meetings, and advocate for clients and their families alongside the treating therapist. Your role will also involve supporting the indirect actions of the Occupational Therapist such as creating programmes and assisting with scheduling, development of resources and assistance in service improvement projects.

This is a clinical hub and school hybrid role where you will support with and deliver clinic based sessions within an outpatient setting alongside SEND school based work supporting the therapy team with resourcing, administrative tasks and clinical delivery under the guidance of a delegating therapist.

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant area
GCSEs or equivalent
Experience of working with children
Effective communication professional skills
Previous experience in a similar role or working in schools with students with speech, language and communication needs

Desirable

Previous experience of working within health care
Previous experience working with children with additional needs
People management experience
